HUNTERSVILLE, NC (November 27, 2018) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Danny Cesarz of the Knoxville Ice Bears is the Warrior Player of the Week for November 19-25.
Cesarz scored one goal and assisted on five others in leading the Ice Bears to three wins last week, extending their winning streak to a season-high four games.
On Thursday, the Redford, MI native had a pair of assists in a 5-3 win over Huntsville. After picking up another assist in Knoxville’s 5-4 overtime win over Fayetteville in the first game of a home-and-home series on Friday, Cesarz closed out the week with a goal and two assists in the Ice Bears’ 7-2 win over the Marksmen on Saturday.
Now in his fourth season with Knoxville, Cesarz is tied for second in the SPHL in assists (10) while his 13 points are tied for third-most in the league.
