Ice Bears goalie Jimmy Poreda has been loaned to the Worcester Railers of the ECHL, Head Coach Jeff Carr confirmed Wednesday morning. Poreda is the third Knoxville player to be called up to the ECHL since the start of the season, joining Andrew McLean and Carter Cowlthorp.

Poreda has appeared in 12 games for the Ice Bears this season, posting a 1.75 goals against average to go with a .939 save percentage and two shutouts. He is 9-2-1 on the season and has won his last five starts.

Knoxville has also signed Netminder Breandan Colgan to a standard player contract. Colgan, a rookie out of West Chester University has played in ten games this season for the Watertown Wolves of the FPHL. He has a 1.87 average, a .947 save percentage, and five wins. He leads the league in each of those categories.

The Ice Bears travel to Peoria this weekend for a pair of games against the Rivermen on Friday and Saturday.
